Raw beetroots being a rich source of antioxidants are great for detoxification and combined with carrots, apples , ginger and lemon they make a deliciously filling and nutritious smoothie. The taste is bitter sweet with a slightly earthy and zingy flavour, very refreshing.

 1 raw beetroot
 1 apple
 1 carrot
 2 inch ginger, grated
 juice of 1/2 lemon
 1.50 cups water

Simply add all ingredients to a blender and pulse until smooth. Serve immediately
