1 cup Amaranth 1.50 milk 1.50 water 2 tbsp maple syrup 1 tsp cinnamon pinch of saltFor the Caramelised P ears 2 large pears, sliced 1 tbsp coconut oil 1 tbsp maple syrup large pinch of cloves handful of walnuts
11. Place the Amaranth, milk and water in a large pot and bring to a boil. Turn down the heat to low and stir in the maple syrup salt and cinnamon, cover and let simmer for at least 25 minutes. Once done stir and leave to stand a further 5 minutes.
2. Meanwhile place the coconut oil in a pan over medium heat, add in ground cloves and coat the pan evenly with the oil. Place the pear slices in the pan and drizzle the maple syrup over the pears. Fry for 10 minutes on either side until softened and golden brown.
