4 large apples 3 tbsp maple syrup 1 tbsp dark brown sugar 1 tsp cinnamon 3 tbsp walnuts, chopped 3 tbsp raisins 1 tbsp unsalted butter ¾ cup boiling water
11. Preheat the oven to 180C. Use a small spoon to carve out a hole in each apple removing the core and seeds and leaving about an inch from the bottom.

3. Place the apples in a baking dish and pour 3/4 cup boiling water into the dish. Let the apples sit in the hot water for 2-3- minutes before placing in the oven. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until golden and softened. Once done remove from the oven and serve with ice cream.
